Scene 8 – Set 8 (Chapel) – Song #9
It's late in the afternoon. JENNY and MIKE are kneeling on separate freestanding pews. They are only slightly facing one another so they are mostly facing the audience. Jenny is on the left; Mike is on the right. TOM and STEVE face the audience by standing with their back to the wall of the set behind Mike. DIANE and RONNIE also face the audience by standing with their back to the wall behind Jenny. REVEREND JONES is standing in front of Jenny and Mike with his back to the audience. The music to Song #10 – “I Vow To You” – begins. He nods his head and walks between Jenny and Mike to the back of the set. When he reaches the wall, he turns so he faces the audience and remains motionless. Lights fade to spots on Jenny and Mike.
MIKE
