It turns out the feeling we call “love” is just one half of a naturally repeating cycle that motivated our ancestors to form important short-term relationships.

The good feeling we call “love” (the attraction part of the cycle) was never meant to be constant. On the contrary, “love” and its counterpart “repellence” form a natural repeating cycle that is orchestrated by biology, self-image, environmental cues and circumstance.
In other words:
The good feeling we call “love” will go away by nature's design.
When the “love” goes away, it will be no one's fault.
Being cyclic by design, the “love” will return, but under one condition.
